Promises to fix the issue within the earliest possible time
At last, Instagrammers can rest assured about the restoration of normalcy in their accounts. They can breathe a sigh of relief. Recently, the like counts were disappearing probably due to the result of “a bug.”
Many people took to social media on Tuesday, claiming they couldn’t track the number of likes anymore that a particular Instagram post had received, amidst guesses that the years-long private likes test had been expanded. In 2019, the tech giant announced it would start concealing like counts for a few users worldwide as part of a test program that is intended to improve user experience.
They are testing this because they want the followers to focus on the photos and videos that are shared, not how many likes they get. Instagram officials understand that this is crucial for many creators, and while this test is in experimental phases, they are contemplating methods for them to communicate value to the brand partners.

The company hasn’t revealed any details regarding the test run over the past year but has reassured that the program is in process. Instagram’s PR team addressed the apprehensions over the disappearance like counts in a tweet on Tuesday night, claiming the recent vanishing was involuntary and due to a sudden malfunction.
