Cyber attack campaign routed by Pakistani hackers on India, guided by China

Cyberwarfare is the use of technology to attack a nation, causing severe harm to the defense system or the internet service or etc. Seqrite researchers, Quick-Heal’s enterprise security brand have reported a cyber attack campaign by Pakistani hackers by targeting in India’s Defense system.

A dubious Pakistani hackers group, Transparent Tribe, a highly prolific group whose activities are traced behind 2013.They are reportedly a cyber attack campaign namely ‘Operation Sidecopy’ since 2019,aiming to steal critical infrastructure and strategic data bysending spoofing emails to have remote access of IT infrastructure. According to Seqrite, the marked tools specifies role of Transparent Tribe, suspected to be aided by China.According to Himanshu Dubey, director of Quick Heal Security Labs, the hackers are trying to trick Indian defense forces to have highly sensitive data, to create a major menacing to National Security.
