After months of speculations, Activision finally released a video confirming the release of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The release date will be 26th August 2020. The company released the video after fans lead to it inside the current Battle Royale game Call of Duty: Warzone uncovering the breadcrumbs.
It is a fun time for the gamers because for the first time an upcoming version of Call of Duty has been revealed through an existing title: Warzone. And the most dedicated fans have uncovered these videos revealed through an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) under Warzone. The video was unlocked on the Pawn Takes Pawn website.
The video was focused on archival footage of a TV interview with KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov. He warned the world about the Soviet Union’s disinformation tactics to undermine other democratic governments. The disinformation tactics by the Soviet Union include demoralization, destabilization, crisis, and normalization.
Bezmenov warned the nation mentioning “time bomb is ticking” and that hinted towards the events during the Cold War, which was leading the westerners to a catastrophe.
In this video, the identity of a Soviet Spy Perseus has been revealed. He was condemned due to infiltrating the Manhattan Project during World War II to steal the secret information related to the ongoing research on the atomic bomb. This damaged western intelligence and for that reason, he was never been recovered.
The plan of the Soviet Union, “decades in the making” is described in this video. The video also depicts some horrible scenes from the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States and their respective allies. After the massive World War II, this war was inflicted due to the geopolitical tension between these two nations.
