Apple Silicon Mac Pro looks like assembled Mac Minis
It has been alleged by a noted leaker that the forthcoming 2021 iMac models will provide us with five different colour options, resembling the colours of the fourth-generation iPad Air. Many additional details about the Mac Pro with Apple Silicon were revealed too.
In a new video on a YouTube channel, it has been explained that the redesigned iMacs will be available in different colour options like Silver, Space Gray, Green, Sky Blue, and Rose Gold.
Renders of how these new color options may look like on a redesigned iMac has been shared accordingly. However, one is yet to catch a glimpse of the rear of the new design, so the renders are entirely hypothetical beyond colour.
It can be assumed that the range of colour options are intended to capitalize on nostalgia for the original iMac, which was available in a selection of iconic colours like lime, strawberry, blueberry, grape, and tangerine. Redesigned iMacs with slimmer bezels and Apple Silicon chips are been anticipated for some time, but it is uncertain precisely when they are scheduled to be launched this year or if both model sizes will be rolled out together.
Earlier it was reported that the new Mac Pro will be less than half the size of the current Mac Pro, putting it somewhere between the existing Mac Pro and the Mac mini. The leak substantiated this claim. The device is speculated to feature mostly an aluminum exterior and may invoke nostalgia for the Power Mac G4 Cube.
The new Mac Pro will likely feature a design that resembles three to four Mac minis assembled on top of each other. Renders of the supposed new look has been shared too.
The Mac Pro may be designed with the compute unit on the bottom and a big heat sink on top.
According to previous reports Apple had scheduled the launch of the new, smaller Mac Pro with Apple Silicon by the end of 2022, but it may arrive as early as this year.
